I am an Englishman and a long term resident of beijing looking to rent out my apartment so that my family and I can escape for the month of the Olympics! We have a comfortable, modern apartment within a leisurely stroll of the Stadium, Olympic village / forest, and all the other amenities set up for the 2008 olympics. With the opening up of a new subway line later this year (2 mins walk from the apartment) you will be within easy striking distance of the airport, CBD, and most of the main tourist spots. Our privately owned apartment is new (3 years old), and is located on the top floor (17th) of a quiet residential complex opposite a small park. Fully furnished (obviously!), with a master bedroom and a childs room (with a single bed and a sofa bed). 1 bathroom and a washroom, large living room and very spacious kitchen (by chinese standards!). I’m an American renting out my apartment during august in Chaoyang near sanlitun. Not only is this area far better than the bird nest/water cube area for visiting sights and seeing the true Beijing, you are close enough to subway stations to still reach these Olympic in 30 minutes by subway. Plus the nightlife and restaurants are excellent. I know Beijing well so I can help you out with all your plans and everything you want or need when you get here. There is so much to do in this city that most tourists miss out on. Also the food is incredible :) China is an awesome place and i want whoever rents my place to have the time of their lives here. My apartment has two bedrooms, one big master bedroom and one smaller bedroom. The bathroom and kitchen are very clean and nicely setup between the two bedrooms. The apartment was renovated 9 months ago so everything is very new and clean. I don't have any pets and I don't smoke so it will continue to stay clean. This is important because there are many many grubby old apartments in Beijing renting out for the Olympics. Also my place is child friendly if you plan to bring children. The place also includes wifi, cable tv, my dvds, pull out sofa bed (so you can sleep a total of 5 people very comfortably) a/c, wood floors, fridge, microwave, ikea kitchenware, two bikes for cruising around the city etc. For better perspective of the location, you can bike to within the second ring road in about ten minutes. This is the oldest part of the city which used to be surrounded by an ancient wall. A relaxing bike ride to Tiananmen square/forbidden city takes about thirty minutes. I'm not looking to rip anyone off like most of the Chinese people renting out their apartments are. So if you would like to negotiate a price for your time of stay, just contact me. Hi there, Pls forgiving my ambitious words that this condo should be your best living choice if you would like to enjoy the games, happiness and the amazing traditional Chinese historical interests during the Olympics 2008 -- No matter for individual tourist or company group. It is just located beside the Olympics main stadium -- 3min on foot (you can get the exact location from the google map picture which I uploaded here). As the condo is just at the corner of the 4th ring road and the Badaling highway (which is from the heart of city central to the Great Wall, 20min from the condo to central and 40min to the Great Wall), there are the most convenient transport systems all around to everywhere (by bus, sub, bike, own car...). Needless to say that I will provide all the living facilities such as unlimited internet (ADSL), fixed-line phone, fridge, TV, cooking utensils, 24hrs hotwater, air-conditioners (accutrally there are 3 - one in each room), washing machine, gas, electricity.
